Preschool

The Clark Fork School Preschool Program consists of six classrooms serving ages 2 through 6 years old.

To enroll in the Nuthatch or Bunting Classrooms, students must be 2 years old by the first day of school. Two year olds enrolled in these groups that turn 3 by July (or after) of their first year of enrollment are recommended to continue in the same class for a second year. Students in these classes are not required to be potty-trained. We offer a variety of schedules ranging 2-5 days a week. Students are able to attend class from 8:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., or 8:45-1:00p.m. Our student-to-teacher ratio is 16 students to 3 teachers.

To enroll in the Chickadee and Meadowlark Classrooms, students should be 3-4 years old and potty-trained. We offer three schedules: Monday-Friday, Mon/Wed/Fri, an Tue/Th. Students attend class from 8:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Our student-to-teacher ratio is 16 students to 2 teachers.

To enroll in the Sparrow or Magpie Classrooms, our Kindergarten readiness programs, students must be 4.5- 5 years old. This program operates Monday-Friday 8:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Our student-to-teacher ratio will not exceed 10 students to 1 teacher.

Student placement in preschool programs is determined by school administration and teaching staff, in consultation with parents. Factors including student age, independence level, and social-emotional development are used to determine the best classroom placement for students to thrive.

For students enrolled in our Preschool Program, Clark Fork School offers Before-Care from 7:45 a.m.-8:45 a.m. and After-Care from 3:00-5:30p.m. for an additonal fee. We also offer an after-school program until 5:30p.m for Rattlesnake Elementary and homeschool students. Pleae email admissions@clarkforkschool.org to inquire about extended care opportunities.
